Parent /Teacher meetings. Please note that the dates for Parent/Teacher meetings will be on Mon. & Tues. 13th & 14th February. Please avail of this opportunity to meet with your child's teacher and discuss progress etc. We urge you to attend at the time which will be allotted to you shortly.
Attendance Our new starting time seems to be working very well. Grateful thanks to all parents and teachers for your co-operation in adjusting to this new timetable. Please try to have all children in school at 9.a.m. as children who arrive late may feel embarrassed as attention can be focused on them. Reasons for pupils' absences must be communicated in writing, by parents/guardians to the school and will be retained by the school. To facilitate this, such communications should be on a separate page or sheet of paper. (Not in Homework Diary). If a child is absent, when the child returns to school s/he should give a written note to the class teacher which contains the child's name, the dates of absence and the reason for the absence. These notes will form a record which may be inspected by the Education Welfare Officer on a visit to the school. Need a spare jumper??? There has been an accumulation of jumpers/tracksuit tops/jackets since the last school year and the first term this year which are too good to give to the charity shop. If you wish to avail of any spare clothing, items will be on display in the General Purpose room from 2 o'clock tomorrow for the week. These items can be collected before or after school. Fundraising We are delighted to let you know that €1009 was raised by the 6th class Christmas Bring and Buy Sale. Well done to all who contributed and helped. This money will go towards the refurbishment of the new Parish Hall. Credit Union Quiz Children from senior classes will be participating in the Waterford Credit Union Schools Quiz on Mon. February 6th in Dooley's Hotel, Waterford. All teams should be in the hotel at 7.15 p.m. in school uniform.
